Chainlocker for CPA firms

Point it at the deal folder. Get back the diligence index.

Transaction services teams receive data rooms and shared folders with hundreds of unsorted PDFs, emails, and spreadsheets. Chainlocker reads every file, judges it against your diligence checklist, and returns an Excel index with a tag, written reasoning, and a confidence score for each document. A person confirms every call. Documents never leave your office.

How an engagement runs

Your checklist becomes the criteria. Chainlocker runs it on every file.

01

Write the checklist as criteria

The categories a document can land in and the instructions for deciding: material contracts, financial statements, tax filings, side letters, leases, whatever your engagement letter calls for.

02

Point it at the folder

The data room export or the client's shared drive. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email exports, and scans, listed and counted before anything runs.

03

Every document, tagged and explained

A tag from your list, written reasoning, and a confidence score. Anything below the floor you set goes to review rather than being filed.

04

A senior confirms

Accept by default, reject with a correction. Working a large folder this way is quick, and every verdict is recorded with who decided and when.

05

The index the team already knows

An Excel file, one row per document, with a clickable link to the file, plus a self-contained package that opens anywhere with no server and no network.

06

Next deal, same checklist

The criteria list is the standard. Run it on the next data room and the triage is done the same way, whoever staffs the engagement.

Scope

Triage off the desk. Professional judgment, untouched.

What Chainlocker does
  • Sorts the folder against your checklistEvery file judged against the criteria you wrote, the same way each time.
  • Explains each call in writingThe reasoning names what was found, so a reviewer can check it in seconds.
  • Reports how sure it isA confidence score on every judgment and a floor you control. Uncertain calls go to a person.
  • Produces the index and the packageExcel for the team, an offline viewer for the file, with links that still work on a USB drive.
What it doesn't do
  • Give tax or accounting adviceIt doesn't interpret what a document means for the deal. That's the engagement team's job.
  • Extract or reconcile figuresIt sorts and flags documents; it doesn't build the quality-of-earnings schedule.
  • Decide anything unattendedEvery tag is confirmed by a person before the index leaves the tool.
  • Send client documents to a public cloudDocuments stay on the appliance in your office. Inference runs on hardware we own, over a private encrypted link.
Where client documents live

On a machine in your office, not in someone's cloud.

Chainlocker runs on a dedicated appliance installed at the firm and is reached from a browser on your LAN or VPN. Documents never leave it. AI inference runs on hardware we own over an encrypted private link, never a third-party AI API, so there is no usage meter and no provider terms of service between you and your client's files.

Show us a deal folder. We'll show you what it does with it.

Chainlocker is in development, targeting late 2026. Before it ships we want transaction services teams running their own checklists through it and telling us where it falls short.
